The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Saturday, July 30th, 2022, will be the first day of the month of Muharram , 1444 A.H. for the entire region of North America.

The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Monday, July 12th, 2021, will be the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1442 A.H. for most of North America except the Northeastern areas of the continent.
We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p).

The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Saturday, June 12th, 2021 will be the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qidah, 1442 A.H. for the entire region of North America.
This determination is based on the fact that there were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 in any region of North America. Thus, Friday, June 11th, 2021 will be the last day of the month of Shawwal.
We ask God, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and to hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam Mahdi (p).
